Description

The Business Analyst identifies and defines requirements to resolve business problems and meet business needs, ensuring solutions support business objectives and can be successfully delivered to production.
Working across the product lifecycle, they collaborate closely with the Product Manager and squad members (Technical Architect, UX Designer, Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, QA/Test Engineers) as well as the Solution Architect, to ensure requirements are clear, feasible, and aligned with business, technical and quality standards.
They support story mapping, feature mapping and business data modelling to define product scope, map business structure, identify dependencies and align business goals, user journeys and the delivery roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment, working closely with Product Managers/Owners and Scrum Masters from discovery to release and production monitoring.
  • Strong skills in requirements elicitation, process analysis, data modelling and translating business needs into clear epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Hands-on, business‑oriented mindset with the ability to challenge stakeholders constructively and co‑design solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with technical and solution architects, UX designers, software and DevOps engineers.
  • Solid understanding of software delivery lifecycle (backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, release management, production support).
  • Good knowledge of financial services or banking; prior experience in a financial/wealth/asset management context is a strong asset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with ability to use data and KPIs to support decisions.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, comfortable interacting with business and technical stakeholders at different levels.
  • Fluent in English; French is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Discovery
  • Support the Product Manager and Test Manager in defining product and quality strategy.
  • Contribute to user research and problem discovery; identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Analyse and document key business problems, assumptions, expectations and constraints; support prototype development and testing.
  • Liaise with Solution Architect, Technical Architect, DevOps and Software Engineers to assess solution feasibility and technical risk.
  • Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements; perform gap analysis and refine scope to maximise value and alignment with business goals.
  • Maintain traceability from business goals to epics, user stories and acceptance criteria; create epics and user stories for each business feature.
  • Validate test cases with Test Analyst and Test Manager to ensure alignment with requirements and defined quality attributes.
  • Analyse business processes and data; identify inefficiencies, propose optimisations, define appropriate business data models and ensure data consistency across systems.
  • Lead solution discovery with Solution Architect and UX Designer; support the PM in defining capabilities, features and dependencies to ensure architectural coherence and scalability.
  • Advise on business priorities, coordinate stakeholders and track progress of product initiatives.
2. Product Delivery
  • Contribute to product roadmapping and definition of product deliverables.
  • Prepare and lead backlog refinement; support epic and user-story prioritisation and define MVP scope elements.
  • Clarify requirements with Software Engineers, define acceptance criteria and support sprint planning to enable smooth delivery.
  • Define functional test cases; conduct acceptance and non-regression testing (FAT); support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Define release scope, confirm release content, coordinate deployment schedules and manage stakeholder communication.
  • Ensure documentation is complete and follows best practice.
3. Product Optimisation
  • Monitor production to ensure smooth operation; document and analyse incidents; manage third-line (L3) support requests with TA, DevOps and Software Engineers.
  • Validate that solutions meet user needs through continuous feedback in collaboration with the UX Designer and PM.
  • Define and track KPIs and user feedback; work with Software/DevOps Engineers to access data sources and ensure proper tracking.
  • Analyse data and provide clear, actionable insights to measure value, guide decisions and identify unmet user needs.
